Supercharged Viper RT10 - presumably this is one of the older models - it has the side exhausts and a roof like a crashed hanglider.
I'll have to sell a lot of prints to afford this. Let alone this...
The Ferrari Enzo is quite a creature.
Some influences from Formula 1 I suspect
Don't run over any Possums
Lamborghini as art...
...it isn't difficult to find nice angles
Ferrari 360 Modena in silver. Yes please.
Cobra
Aston Martin Vantage and a yellow Lamborghini
The latest shape of Porsche Carrera. The Porsche designers seem to have gone for a bit of a retro look, when I first saw it I thought it was a VW Beetle. Oh dear.
Yet another turbo inlet. I could have just about fitted my head in this one.
I went along to a combined carshow/drag meet today - conveniently located across the street from work. I'll put the car show pics up tomorrow, but here is some of the on-track action...
I didn't have any press privileges (for pretty obvious reasons...) so I had an interesting time trying to see past all the fences, cones, posts, and pro photographers that were determined to get in my way. In the end I gave up trying to find a perfect spot and incorporated them as foreground elements and compositional enhancements.
Some precision drifters appeared, and put in a great show of sliding around on the drag strip. Pretty wild stuff, really...
Three cars drifting around a shared cone
The photographer certainly had a nice spot... Maybe I should get a pink jacket with 'media' on it
Exploring the space...
The jet car made a lot of smoke and bangs and then took off at warp speed. One of the spectators behind me suggested that it would make a really great way to get your milk in the morning
Bikers provided some entertainment, not without a moment of drama...
Nothing broken, but the bike was a bit worse for wear
Monday in Manurewa featured a quick walk around the botanical gardens. Besides the usual photos of flowers and cacti, there were some oddities...
The mandatory oooh isn't it pretty photo
A slightly different impression thanks to some filters and bits and pieces
These Swallows had a nice perch from which to watch eachother's backs...
Seems like a good place for a web, if you ask me...
We have liftoff. I had to walk along the rail scaring the ducks off one by one to get this shot!
Not the usual botanical gardens shot - but these guys cleaning the power pylons provided an interesting scene. Hopefully they didn't mind the short guy with the big lens taking their photo!
