1 - Standing room only on the ground at Main Stage, so I think these guys had the right idea. The WIUO draws such huge crowds these days, it's almost impossible to photograph them...

Woolshed Sessions @ Cuba St Carnival

1 - Continuing something of a theme here at David St George Photography, here are The Woolshed Sessions (myspace) artists doing their thing in front of a huge crowd at the Cuba St Carnival. Unfortunately my "media" status didn't get me in front of the fence, and trying to shoot past microphone stands turned out to be the a bit of a feature of the day. Anyway, when security guards give you lemons, you can try the indignant 'Do you KNOW who I am?' line, or you can accept it and use a 450mm telephoto :) I chose the latter...

Shaun and Annabel's Wedding

Valentine's Day weekend featured a very finely produced wedding between Shaun and Annabel, at the Makahika Outdoor Pursuit Centre, in the lively Levin countryside... Longterm blog readers will remember Annabel from a previous series from her show 'A life lived in Skin'.

The Art of Relaxating

1 - Charlotte was in Welly to catch the Cuba St Carnival - but like all things, Carnivals require breaks for relaxating.

Fur Patrol (Starry Nights Concert Series)

1 - Julia Deans of Fur Patrol doing her rock-chick thing. Come to think of it, she does it rather well. A very cool set of songs from these guys, including a bunch of new stuff from their latest album 'Local Kid' and some old favourites like 'Lydia'.
