Orokawa Bay (Twice)
1 - Orokawa bay sits just to the north of Waihi Beach. It turned out to be an interesting shoreline for swimming, with a steep beach and rolling waves that were pretty keen on tipping you up and rolling you in to shore... Small crowds and excessively friendly wasps meant we visited on the 30th and 31st.

Waihi Beach Twilight
1 - A short walk on the beach during and after the sunset afforded a few photographic compositions - I regretted not having my tripod on hand, but followed the rule '...when in doubt boost the ISO and improvise...'

On the Beach
1 - the rental house was conveniently a couple of minutes walk from the beach - this shot appealed as I took a walk on the first day...
2 - 7th form geography 'coastal processes' coming back to haunt me...
