Art Deco Weekend in Napier

Last weekend featured Napier's famous Art Deco weekend, and coincidentally, was also Annie's 30th birthday. I headed down to join a bunch of good peeps for some fine fashion, dining, and general noodling about the place. Many thanks to Catherine & James, and Lucy & Mike for their hospitality.

Classic Motor Cycle Race Meeting @ Hampton Downs

The first Classic Motor Cycle Race Meeting (run by the New Zealand Classic Motorcycle Racing Register) went off in style at Hampton Downs last weekend (13th and 14th of February). The bikes included vintage pre-war through to 1976, with Norton, AJS, Matchless Grand Prix bikes as well as vintage Indian and Harley Davidson racers. The pre-1976 Open Class featured Ducati, Triumph, Moto-Guzzi Norton, BMW and others.
